June 10, 2009, for Immediate Press Release
Unifire AB of Sweden, a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art fire extinguishing systems for incineration plants, announces the launching of its new YouTube channel at www.YouTube.com/SafeIncinerator.com.
According to Unifire spokesman, Roger Barrett James, “Unifire’s new YouTube channel ‘Safe Incinerator’ has been designed to inform the public about Unifire’s unique and cutting-edge capabilities when it comes to the fire protection of incinerators. We have just produced a new video for the channel and we are in production of further videos, which will show further installations.”
Unifire designs networked systems of its Force series remote-controlled water monitors (also known as “water cannons” or “turrets”), which are made of acid-proof stainless steel (type 316).
Unifire’s video on YouTube presents an overview of Unifire's capabilities, including the Unifire Control System (or "UCS"). The UCS allows the Force monitors to interact with each other and with other peripherals, such as the Thermotemp infrared fire detection system (www.thermotemp.de) utilized at the incineration plant shown in this video, flame detectors, valves, lights, CCTV cameras, and others.
Unifire systems range from fully automatic fire fighting to semi-automatic and manual operation by remote control from one or more control stations.
Unifire consultants work with systems integrators as well as end-users to design custom solutions for each client.
Each system is comprised of Unifire's stainless steel, remote controlled monitors (or water cannons). Each Force monitor can be set up as a stand alone system controlled by one or more joysticks up to 500 meters away, or by wireless radio remote control. Systems can also be networked and all controlled from a single station (or multiple stations), and they can be easily pre-programmed with their own unique, prerecorded spray patterns.
This video shows an installation of Force monitors protecting an incineration pit. The monitors are controlled from the master control station. Force monitors are able to efficiently deliver up to 5000 liters per minute (1340 gallons) of water or foam directly onto the fire for rapid extinguishing. The Force 80 has a range of 100 yards (90 meters) at full capacity (5000 liters per minute / 1340 gpm), and can operate at pressures of up to 12 bars (175 psi).

September 8, 2009, for Immediate Press Release
Swedish firefighting equipment manufacturer, Unifire AB, announces the production and release of a new video addressing its advanced, automatic firefighting systems capabilities.
The video is featured on the company’s SafeIncinerator.com web site, as well as on its YouTube channels SafeIncinerator and UnifireAB.
August 1, 2009, for Immediate Press Release
Swedish firefighting equipment manufacturer, Unifire AB, has teamed up with partner "ORGLMEISTER" of Germany, which manufactures a highly advanced fire detection system, which utilizes FLIR infrared cameras, performs data and signal processing and feeds the resulting coordinates to Unifire's monitors for automatic aiming and fire extinguishing.
The ORGLMEISTER system, named PYROsmart®, can detect a fire 500 meters away as small as 10 x 10 cm. The system seamlessly combines images in spherical space, assigns coordinates and feeds them to the Unifire Master Control Unit, which in turn aims at and extinguishes the fire (or fires) automatically.
The ORGLMEISTER brochure can be downloaded at SafeIncinerator.com and further information can be obtained by contacting Unifire AB by Email or by calling +46 303 248 403.
October 26, 2009, for Immediate Press Release
Unifire AB of Sweden has published an Abstract of its report on its Study of Incineration Plant Firefighting Systems.
This unique study, conducted by the Swedish firefighting equipment manufacturer, surveys fire safety approaches at incineration pits of more than a dozen European power plants.
A copy of the Abstract is available on the company’s web site devoted to incineration plant and industrial fire systems at SafeIncinerator.com.
October 22, 2009, for Immediate Press Release
Swedish firefighting equipment manufacturer, Unifire AB, has installed at a new power plant in Schwedt, Germany, what it deems to be the, “most advanced, fully-automatic firefighting system ever designed by Unifire.”
The system is comprised of a third-generation “Unifire Control System” that networks four Force 80 remote control water/foam cannons (each with a capacity of 5000 lpm), valves, thermal imaging, radio remote controls and other peripherals, along with advanced logic to control the entire system.
The system is capable of automatically detecting a fire, locating it, aiming at it, and unleashing 10,000+ lpm of agent directly on the fire, resulting in extremely rapid extinguishing.
The company has released a short video about the system on its YouTube channel at YouTube.com/UnifireAB. The video also appears on the company’s web site devoted to incineration plant and industrial fire systems at SafeIncinerator.com.
October 26, 2009, for Immediate Press Release
Unifire AB of Sweden and ORGLMEISTER Infrarot Systeme of Germany publicly unveiled their automatic fire detection and extinguishing system on October 26-29 at one of the largest trade shows for the recycling and waste management industries, Entsorga Enteco 2009 in Cologne, Germany.
This highly advanced system is capable of detecting hot spots or fires in large areas. In the event of a hot spot or a fire, the system sends a warning to the crew, who can focus in on the spot and take appropriate action before a fire even breaks out. Moreover, the system can automatically target the hot spot (or fire) and target it with Unifire’s remote-controlled water cannons, each capable of delivering up to 5000 liters per minute directly onto the fire.
According to Unifire’s spokesman, Roger Barrett James, “This system represents a new technological paradigm and a revolutionary leap in firefighting technology. It is able to fully automatically protect a large area from fire and address hot spots even before fire breaks out. Unifire is pleased to be at the forefront of advanced firefighting technologies and to present this solution at Entsorga Enteco.”
Unifire has announced that the system is fully developed and available for purchase. Further information is available at SafeIncinerator.com.
